When we do end up talking about those topics she doesn’t have the interest or knowledge for us to really take the conversation anywhere. I love talking about current issues, ideas, society, economics, etc. She has more of an artistic background, and I’m more analytical type and into the sciences. Perhaps because we were spending less time together so when we did meet we always had personal news to share, or were kept busy with whatever we were doing on our date nights or weekend hangouts. Looking back now I’m not sure that we ever really did, but it didn’t feel like a big issue before. It seems like we never have deep and stimulating conversations. However, in the last few months I’ve been feeling like we’re not really connecting on an intellectual level. Overall things have been going great: she’s an awesome, fun, and caring partner, we have many similar values and interests, enjoy various hobbies and activities together, good sexual chemistry, and now we’ve set up a sweet living space that we both love. Before that we each had our own place and we’d meet up on average twice a week. About 3 months ago we decided to move in, and found an apartment together. My girlfriend and I have been together for two years now.
